Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar, music stars Sunny Neji , JMartins, Zaaki Azzay as well as the first lady of Lagos state Dame Abimbola Fashola were honored in Ikeja Lagos on the 20th of January 2013, as United Nations peace ambassadors by the Universal Peace Federation and Youth Federation for World Peace.
Other recipients include NET publisher Ayeni Adekunle, City People publisher Seye Kehinde, Complete Football publisher Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase , Stanley Okoronkwo,Linda Raphael, Annie Inyang, Benita Nzeribe, Mary Uranta, Zaaki Azzay and Imelda Osuji.
According to the official press release, “These personalities were honored for distinguishing themselves in all ramifications in the society.”
