Bosch Fawstin was raised in the typical moderate Muslim household. His upbringing was steeped in misogyny, Jew hatred, and admiration for Hitler. Like any young Muslim, he never questioned his religion, that is, until he witnessed the results of active Islam.
Fawstin decided to turn from Islam, expressing his feelings towards the hateful teaching by doing what he does best: illustrating graphic novels.
He came up with an anti-jihad hero, sarcastically dubbed “Pigman.”
Fawstin’s comics begin much like the revolutionary turning point in his own life. After seeing the planes fly into the Twin Towers, the protagonist becomes enraged by Islam, vowing to personally battle jihad. He dons a costume made of pig hide and hunts down his archenemy “SuperJihad.”
On an episode of The Flipside with Michael Loftus, ex-Muslim apostate Fawstin reveals how the September 11 terror attacks prompted him to reevaluate his religious beliefs.
“Is there a moderate Islam?” Loftus asked.
“No. There’s Islam. Islam is immoderate by nature,” Fawstin interrupted. He goes on to explain that those who are “moderate” are simply ignoring parts of the Quran.
“Our government’s job, it seems, post-9/11 was to protect Islam, not us,” Fawstin added.
