FINDING MR RIGHT EP 13'' THE CONFRONTATION''

We had just gone on vacation after our exams  and as usual,  Obinna refused to travel to see his family residing outside the State.
On getting to school to visit him during the holiday, some of Obinna's friends began dropping hints that he was seeing someone else.

It finally dawned on me that my trusted  and beloved boyfriend was apparently playing games.
I confronted him about it  and he pretended not knowing what I was talking about.
About 3 weeks later, it became glaring. He paraded his new chick everywhere and we had no option but to finally part ways after an intense clash.
Oluchi on her own had broken up with Emeka after she couldn't stand his cheating and pummelling ways.
She became really close with Linda and they partnered together , ''doing exploits''( moving with all sorts of men).
They'd disappear from school in a whole semester and not bother about assignments , tests and academics in general.
Soon, we wrote our final exams, defended our projects, and got ready to move into the harsh world.

6 MONTHS LATER

We had all proceeded for our NYSC ( National Youth Service Corps) and were posted to different States and locations.
During camping activities, I became close with Jumoke who was partly Ishan (Edo) and Yoruba.
We had great chemistry and soon, a bond of friendship  emanated.
She was witty, funny and one of those ladies who didn't take life so seriously  and that endeared me to her.
Jumoke had a serious relationship with a young man prior to her being posted to Taraba. His name was Valo. She'd spend most of her time gushing about him, their love and their future marriage.
He'd call her and she'll go like '' Valo my love, the father of my kids, the love of my life '' and I would laugh hysterically obviously wondering how good  she was at predicting the future.
While I had been unlucky and posted to a mega rural community, Jumoke had been so lucky to remain in the State capital Jalingo.
She clicked with a guy who was a set above us (Batch A, we were Batch B),and they proceeded living together as a couple.
Upon my enquiry as to how she declared her love for Valo as the father of her unborn kids, while she lived with Efosa in Jalingo, Jumoke blatantly claimed her relationship with Efosa was platonic, her true loyalty laid with Valo.
I began pondering how a guy and a lady not related by blood could live under the same roof for months  and not be tempted to 'do the do '(have sex).
Jumoke must think I'm so dumb, I'd say  to myself,  whenever she tried acting defensive.
I let all arguments slide and appreciated the fact that Efosa and Jumoke's house in town was my escape from the rural setting I was thrown to.
The rural setting  were I would hang my phone on a tree in order to receive network, go to a well to get water etc , talk to my annoying corper neighbour who lived in a hut, suffer extreme temperatures from a roof without ceiling etc.
