NKIRU SILVANUS'S KIDNAPPERS APPREHENDED BY POLICE









Suspected kidnappers of the Nollywood actress and the Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha on Public Affairs, Miss Nkiru Sylvanus were yesterday paraded, as the police busted the criminal abduction ring in Imo State. Also paraded were four suspects who kidnapped the four-year-old daughter of the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State chapter, Mr. Blyden Amajirionwu from his house at Uratta Housing Estate in Owerri North Local Government, while he travelled to his village, Ngor Okpala.

In another breakthrough, the police successfully rescured a 78-year-old woman from kidnappers’ den. While parading the suspects, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adisa Bolanta said three teams of police operatives carried out manhunt for Nkiru’s kidnappers and eventually arrested the four suspects namely, Okoro, Stella, Festus and Chijioke in their hideout at Imerienwe in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area. He said the suspects in their separate statements had confessed to be collaborators to the kidnappers, adding that they implicated one Chinedu alias Mopol, Ifeanyi alias Alaye, Ezekwem and Ifeanyi (surname withheld) as the main kidnappers that abducted the Nollywood actress.
