PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN'S CAMPAIGN POSTERS DESTROYED IN OWERRI



Election these days is synonymous with violence and drama.  Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA executives en-mass, destroyed President Goodluck Jonathan's presidential campaign bill boards in Owerri around Concord Avenue by Civic Center estate. From all indication, it seemed they were instructed to do that by powers from above.

VACANCY VACANCY!- NNPC GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION POSITION VACANT AS JOHNATHAN SACKS MAJOR OGA'S AT THE TOP



President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday sacked the Group Executive Director, Exploration and Production, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Abiye Membere, and appointed five new ones to fill existing vacancies.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the new appointees and their portfolios are Mr. Ian Udoh, Group Executive Director, Refining and Petrochemicals; Dr. Dan Efebo, Group Executive Director, Corporate Services; and Ms. Aisha Abdurrahman, Group Executive Director, Business Development.

On Monday, President Goodluck Jonathan met with Bill Gates and other influential  figures at an  assembled meeting of experts in New York . They  held talks with regards Polio Eradication in Africa and how  to improve the agricultural sector in Nigeria.

PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JOHNATHAN WITHDRAWS UNILAG NAME CHANGE



Yipeee! Congratulations to Unilag for winning this battle.
 Yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan withdrew the name change of the University of Lagos which he renamed Moshood Abiola University. In a May 29 broadcast to mark the 2012 Democracy Day, President Jonathan had announced to rename the school in honour of Moshood Abiola, who died in jail as a political prisoner in 1998.

"CORRUPT LEADERS WILL GO TO HELL '' ARCHBISHOP ADEWALE MARTINS SAYS









Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, His Grace, The Most Reverend Adewale Martins, during his annual New Year day press briefing in Lagos, said corrupt leaders will go to hell if they refuse to change from their bad ways. 

The cleric advised corrupt leaders to use their offices to better the lives of the masses, adding that “what these corrupt leaders are doing is converting the masses’ wealth for their personal use which is against the ninth commandment; which says that: “Thou shall not convert your neighbour’s property.”
