Lagos State government said it has banned Tri-cycles popularly called Keke Napep from plying major roads in the state, saying their operations constitute nuisance on state roads.
The Commissioner for transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa who disclosed this yesterday at a press briefing said the use of commercial motorcycles and Tri-cycles were not part of the state transportation model.
He said that the state government had held several meetings with the unions on the development, adding “they have agreed to stay away from these roads.”
