CHILD DIES AFTER MUM FORGETS HER

A two-year-old girl was found dead in the backseat of a car at a Madison County daycare.

According to Sheriff Randy Tucker, the mother of the child said she was on the way home from work and stopped at the daycare to pick up her child. 

When she went in the daycare, she was informed that she never dropped her child off this morning.

She told officials she ran back out to her car and discovered the child still in the backseat of her SUV in her car seat.

Sheriff Tucker said the child was pronounced dead on the scene.

At this point, Sheriff Tucker believes it was a tragic accident. 

Both parents are being interviewed and it's still unclear whether or not charges will be filed.
