The news of Amaka Igwe's death has filled the media, tabloids and blogs. While some are in total shock about how Asthma could claim her life at 51, her death seved as an eye opener and hit me hard with a big lesson which is'' Being happy always , living to your fullest potential , surpassing limitations and maximizing your time on earth.
Throughout Amaka Igwe's time on earth, I never learnt she suffered from chronic Asthma, as she always seemed healthy, putting out her best at her craft such as Checkmate which I watched as a child, Fuji house of commotion which got the whole nation staying glued to thier TV sets and me laughing and happy always.
She never saw limitation in her ailment and I can say boldly that she did influence her generation and the younger generation positively.
The question is what about you? Yes you with two hands, two legs , good health, a sound mind etc . Why have you chosen to limit yourself?
I wouldn't particularly blame some people though, because they grew up all their life with very toxic people around and people telling them they weren't good enough to be whatever they wanted or qualified to achieve any feat.
Second factor could be fear of failure which I used to suffer from, but thank God I am free from today.
Fear of trying in order not to fail, get mocked or laughed at and ridiculed , or get your spirit demoralised. But I learnt through reading books that many great and rich men who have achieved great feats had failed at so many points in thier lives but were determined to succeed against all odds and limitations and eventually did.
What is that Idea, that craft, that skill, that stuff you've always wished you could acquire or execute , but never had the balls to do it?
The time is Now! Eliminate toxic people around you, eliminate toxic limiting thoughts and that little voice telling you , you aren't qualified or good enough. Dare to try, and if at first you do not succeed , dust up yourself and try again , again and again .
What wouldn't you achieve or do , if you weren't afraid ? We can do all things through Christ who strenghtens us.
Whatever you are going through, a divorce, a break up, a job loss, a rejection , chronic ailment, an exam failure, a delay in prayer requests etc, try to look on the brighter side, and be happy always. Life is short! Do what makes you happy as long as it is right.
