The Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN) headed by Ibinabo Fibresima(who presented the award) elaborated African Movie Icon Omotola for being enlisted as one of the most Influential people in the world by Time magazine.
Omotola looked breathaking in a Kinabuti designed Aqua green and black dress accompanied by the leading man in her life, Capt. Matthew Ekeinde and kids. The event, a black -tie, first of its kind in Nollywood was hosted by veteran Actor Segun Arinze at the prestigious Oriental hotel ,V.I, Lagos.

Among the many guests in attendance were Fred Amata, Chief Wande Akinboboye, Olisa Adibua, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo Ehigwina and husband , Keppy Epkeong Bassey and wife, Zeb Ejiro and wife, Emeka Ossai and wife, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Dimeji Alara and many others.
Actor Chidi Mokeme also read her a citation which was greeted with a standing ovation with concluding performance from Elvina Ibru and Alula Ibru. Also on hand to entertain were Timi Dakolo and Funny bone with Charles Novia, Fred Amata and the Sheik Zeb Ejiro giving testimonials on Omotola.
