American rapper and superstar Lil Wayne has returned home after six days of receiving treatment at Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Hospital following his seizures last week.
The rapper said he is "feeling a lot better", watching TV and laughing till he cries. He also tweeted "Again thk u all for ur love and prayers. It was truly felt … pause."
In an interview with radio station Hot 97, Wayne's mentor, Birdman, dismissed claims his "son" had suffered a reaction to a codeine-laced cough medicine, known as "sizzurp". "It had nothing to do with drugs," Birdman said. "Honestly, it's [Weezy's] work ethic. How hard he works. How much dedication he gives to his music and his fans … [Wayne] just needs to get some rest and relax. He'll be back, normal, like everyone else."
