MAN EXHUMES DEAD MOTHER'S CORPSE IN OSOGBO

A middle-aged man simply identified as Jefoe has been arrested in Osogbo for allegedly exhuming the corpse of his mother who was buried in his family house at Owo Ope area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

 It was learnt that the culprit dug the grave of his mother in the midnight , had removed some parts from his mother’s body and kept inside a carrier and was eventually caught in the abominable act by some relatives who lived in the family house. The residents of the house had slept when Jefoe went to the backyard to exhume the corpse of his mother, but luck eventually ran out on him when some of his neighbours woke up and arrested him. 
A source close to the area said Jefoe, who claimed to be mentally ill, was the only surviving son of his late mother, who died five days ago and was buried according to Islamic rite immediately after her death at the family residence. 
He was later handed over to the police for questioning and interogation.
