IS USING A BIKE AKA ''OKADA'' A SIGN OF POVERTY?

Singer  and  popular '' Madam '' Crooner Azadus used to be signed to Kennis Music Record Label in the late 90's/early 2000.

He was seen alighting from a bike, then rumor goes round , that his using a bike is a sign of poverty lol. Some even made matters worse by saying the nylon on his hand is food from ''Mama put'' since he couldn't afford a fast food like KFC , etc.
Here comes my argument, since he lives in Lagos, we all know how cramped the roads can be.
What if he didn't want to use his car as a result of traffic or  fuel scarcity .
Is using a bike a sign of hunger , suffering and poverty?
I use bikes sometimes and I am not poor or hungry.
What is your take on this issue?
