The fraudsters
Reports from the EFCC is that an aide of billionaire business woman, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, and six others have been arrested by EFCC for forgery, impersonation and stealing N3 million from Mrs Alakija’s foundation, Rose of Sharon.
The suspect, Vincent Ayewah allegedly conspired with six others to steal checks and withdraw money meant for the beneficiaries of the Rose of Sharon Foundation. The petition came from Mrs Alakija who indicated that Vincent forged cheques of the foundation’s Stanbic IBTC Bank Account and got his sister Miss Florence Ayewah in on the scheme.

In a statement from Vincent he indicated how the scheme was handled: “I divert them and get my siblings and friends to cash at banks, I also arrange ID cards bearing the name on cheques with their faces on it for bank clearance”
Others involved in the scheme and arrested are George Ehizibolo, Onwuwa David, Okonkwo Chikadibia, Emmanuel Ayewah, Florence Ayewah and Chinyere Awanah.
