QUESTION OF THE DAY- SHOULD A BRIDE TO BE SEEK LOANS FROM HER UNMARRIED FRIENDS TO FUND HER WEDDING?

I walked in on my neighbour named Amara (not real name) sounding so unhappy on a phone call . I discovered Amara was talking to a lady who happened to be planning her wedding , but not sure what all the fuss between them was about.
After Amara ended the call, she told me how her friend getting married was asking for a loan to fund her wedding knowing fully well that  SINGLE Amara didn't even have such a fantastic job.
Amara had already struggled to  buy the asoebi for the wedding costing 6k minus tailor sewing, transport to the tailors shop to and fro which brought her expenditure to 15k, not to mention the unenclosed cost of travelling all the way to another city and back for the wedding.
She confided in me telling me she didn't have much and explained to Joy ( bride to be , not real name) her predicament and current status, and Joy sounded sarcastic insinuating Amara wasn't a good friend enough or supportive of her wedding which left Amara sad and ridden with guilt ( She'z a softi).
I told Amara  if she had extra to spare, she could support , but not do an expenditure she would regret later  as friends hardly pay back and any loan could as well be highly considered as bad debt.
The question is should brides to be pester their single friends for support monetarily or impose any wedding item or need on them?  Shouldn't the support be out of freewill?
