NORTH KOREA SUSPECTED TO HAVE HACKED SONY ENTERTAINMENT OVER THE MOVIE ''THE INTERVIEW''

Sony Pictures has withdrawn the movie tagged '' The Interview '' after  hackers threatened to blow up movie theatres if The Interview was released next week. Sony has officially scrapped its release plans. Major theatre chains  also announced  they would not display the film given the threatening circumstances.

The movie stars James Franco and Seth Rogen. In the movie,
Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapport (Seth Rogen) are the team behind the popular tabloid-TV show "Skylark Tonight." After learning that North Korea's Kim Jong Un (Randall Park) is a huge fan of the show, they successfully set up an interview with him, hoping to legitimise themselves as actual journalists. However, as Dave and Aaron prepare for their journey to Pyongyang, the CIA steps in, recruits them, and assigns them an incredible mission: Assassinate the dictator.

Sony entertainment suspects North Korea is behind the Sony Cyber  attack since North Korea picture their dictator Kim Jong un as a demi god and are aggravated at the movie.

Check out Sony's statement with regards the issue below

“Sony Pictures has been the victim of an unprecedented criminal assault against our employees, our customers, and our business. Those who attacked us stole ourintellectual property, private emails, and sensitive and proprietary material, and sought to destroy our spirit and our morale – all apparently to thwart the release of a movie they did not like. We are deeply saddened at this brazen effort to suppress the distribution of a movie, and in the process do damage to our company, our employees, and the American public. We stand by our filmmakers and their right to free expression and are extremely disappointed by this outcome.”
