Okay I am from Imo State, and all I could remember about Ohakim's administration where the tricycles called '' Kim Kim'' wth Ohakim's face boldly imprinted and used for transportation all over Owerri, the big BRT like buses used to reduce transport costs, and his billboards in every nook and cranny of the state lool ( Help me remember more ooo).
It's stale news that he has declared his intentions to return as governor of Imo State again come 2015 ( Ina anukwa).
Below are his reasons
According to Ohakim, he wants to complete the projects and programmes initiated by his administration.
Ohakim said the Rochas administration has made the state regress, said that unemployment had risen, especially with the politically-motivated sack of over 4,000 civil servants by the current administration.
Ohakim said he had learned from the issues that made him lose in 2011, saying that the beauty of life was being able to rise after a fall. According to him, “the character of a man is judged by his ability to rebound from adversity and turn it into advancement. If certain things in life work out for us effortlessly, it does not mean that life is without difficulties. All heroes are those who surmount difficulties’.
According to Ohakim, “the consultant, the KPMG came up with its report that there are over 700,000 applicants in the state civil service to compete for only ten thousand vacancies”, explaining that the objective of getting a consulting firm like KPMG was to enthrone transparency in the recruitment exercise.
In Imo state, other aspirants for the 2015 governorship election in the state. They include the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Senator Chris Anyanwu, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume and Chief Mike Ahamba (SAN).
