Not long, Obinna and I were officially dating and he
showered me with loads of love. Like I mentioned earlier, I became friends with
all his friends, coursemates and family.
Emeka was one of Obinna’s closest friends. He was also well
known and active in school.
He had a reputation for always hitting on ladies and
breaking hearts and felt really good about it.
One certain evening, while hanging out with Obinna, Emeka
and the rest of his crew, Emeka got a phone call from a lady, and he directed her
to our hang out spot.
Lo and behold, it was my bitter enemy Oluchi. Emeka introduced her to everyone and apparently,
the guys noticed some tension between us (Oluchi and I).
Not long after, Emeka made it clear he truly loved Oluchi . He convinced me he was dating her
without games and tried getting us both to squash our beef which we reluctantly
did.
Serves her right (I said to myself). She is in the hands of
a “woman wrapper” (I laughed out loud in my mind).
Weeks later, Oluchi and I became very good friends. We began understanding each other and realized
that being enemies wasn’t going to work since the men in our lives were best of
friends.
School became fun. I had new friends, activity and there was
never a dull moment.
