Chris Brown's girlfriend Karrueche Tran was attacked on twitter by dedicated Beyonce fans after she took a jab and made fun of Blu Ivy's hair on BET.
During a segment with co-host Brandon Broady, the pair reflected on the previous evening's MTV VMAs, with Broady introducing 'the top six things Blue Ivy thought about the VMAs'.
Karrueche then delivered the line: 'I really did wake up like this because my parents never comb my hair.'
Obviously immediately regretting the scripted diss, she awkwardly giggled before adding: 'Sorry Blue, I love you!'
Twitter users called Karraueche brainless, irrelevant, mean , a bully etc.
Karrueche immediately issued an apology via twitter saying
In defence, Karraueche said she read the joke verbatim off the teleprompter, the script apparently having changed since rehearsals.
She insists she didn't see the joke beforehand and was embarrased afterwards.
BET President Stephen Hill took to twitter to defend her saying
This won't be the first time that Blu Ivy's hair will creep up on social media as a petition was raised sometime ago insisting Jay and Beyonce comb the toddler's hair.
