Yesterday Monday the 24th of June 2013 , four people were injured when a Lagos bound locomotive passenger train from Kano crashed at Kakawu area, in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State after hitting an abandoned sewage tanker .
According to eyewitnesses, the accident which occurred at about 4pm local time, affected four couches of the train when it fell off from the rail line
The spokesperson of the State Emergency Management Agency, (SEMA) Abubakar Adamu said the casualties have been taken to Saint Gerald’s Catholic Hospital for treatment.
Luckily, no one died in the accident.
