The bikini piece has been one of the staples worn by beauty queens in the Miss World Pageant over a long time.
Indonesia with most of its population Muslims and being the host of this years contest going to take place on the 28th of September has banned the use of bikinis out of respect for the Muslim country.
"I don't want to upset or get anyone in a situation where we are being disrespectful," Miss World Organization chairwoman Julia Morley said in a recent interview.
