POLITICIANS KILLED MY SISTER: LATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF EKITI STATE ELDER BROTHER SAYS PLUS YOUTHS PROTEST

Youth of Igbeyin Street in Ado-Ekiti around the family house of the late deputy governor, Olufunmilayo Olayinka yesterday staged a peaceful protest over her death. It was  gathered that the protest may not be unconnected with the allegation earlier raised by the former deputy governor’s elder brother and Sasere of Ado-Ekiti, Chief Olusegun Famuagun that some politicians in Ado-Ekiti were behind the sickness of his sister.

The protesters, who wore black attire were said to have massed at about 6.00am and were on the streets for about one and half hours before the police were drafted to the area to forestall breakdown of law and order.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police Command, Mr. Victor Babayemi, who said no protest was staged in the state capital because of the death of Mrs. Olayinka disclosed that the youth only staged a mourning procession in recognition of the values of the late deputy governor.
7 days of mourning has been declared in Ekiti state to mourn the  Mrs Olayinka's passing.
