The atmosphere was filled with tears yesterday, when practitioners in the movie industry gathered at the National Stadium complex, Surulere, to pay their last respect to Justus Esiri, who died on the February 17.
The event was a candle light procession in honour of the late actor.
In attendance were some of the prominent nollywood stars, Ini Edo, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Segun Arinze, Olu Jacobs and his wife, Joke Silver, Julius Agwu, Oke Bakassi, Fidelis Duke, Ernest Obi, Ifeanyi Dike, amongst others.
Speaking on behalf of the bereaved family, pop singer and son of the deceased, Dr. Sid, described his father as a perfectionist and enigma of sort.
According to him, there will be a service of songs today at the Catholic Church at Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
Thereafter, the body would be flown to Warri for the second and final phase of the funeral arrangement.
