Talented Nigerian singer Wizkid was recently in Ghana to perform with American superstar Chris Brown. Their performance was part of activities lined up to celebrate Ghana's 56th Independence anniversary.
Ghanaians were however not too pleased with the US star Chris Brown who was allegedly paid a whopping $1m to be part of the official unveiling of the ‘Hope City Project’, as well as headline a stadium concert. Multiple media reports say he failed to attend that and other anniversary events he was reportedly booked for. Brown arrived Ghana on Tuesday, according to local media.
But the fans were happy when he showed up at the sports stadium, for his live ‘mega concert’ in Accra on March 5. It was his first time in Ghana.
During Chris Brown's performance, he pulled out a rolled marijuana joint and smoked it on stage gushing
‘If anybody’s tripping on you smoking weed, f*ck them’.
This act however attracted alot of criticisms from fans. Fans were also upset that Chris Brown invited Wizkid a Nigerian artist to perform with him instead of a Ghanaian artist.
In the end though, everyone seemed happy with the overall show.
